Job summary

Audubon is seeking a Senior Control Systems Engineer to join our team in Louisiana. The role focuses on designing equipment, components, structures and systems and requires leading complex control system projects.

The successful candidate will hold a PE license, have an engineering degree (ABET accreditation preferred), and extensive field experience. Responsibilities include specifications, vendor reviews, client interaction, site visits and project leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree from ABET Accredited Institution is preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
• PE license is required.
• Field experience is preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience is preferred.
• Experience with SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI) and sizing software is preferred.
• Knowledge of instrumented control and safety systems design codes (ISA, NEC, API) is preferred.
• Ability to lead projects and communicate effectively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Independently prepare intermediate to advanced level specifications detailing client requirements, component needs, design codes and vendor drawings.
• Prepare sketches, perform calculations and develop analysis models for complex projects.
• Review and approve vendor drawings for compliance with specifications.
• Interact with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants.
• Plan, manage workloads, budgets and resources to meet schedules.
• Develop and review engineering design packages and guidelines.
• Visit sites and vendor facilities to assess requirements and conditions.
• Provide guidance on work techniques and best practices.
