Job summary

McClure Engineering is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to work on diverse building and campus systems. You will lead design efforts, supervise designers, and ensure code-compliant electrical solutions for commercial, institutional, and healthcare facilities.

The role emphasizes project management, field verifications, and collaboration with internal teams. A PE is preferred, with extensive NEC/NFPA knowledge and proficiency in SKM, Aspen, or EasyPower.

Qualifications

• B.S.E.E. from an accredited university or equivalent experience; PE preferred.
• 7+ years of electrical engineering design experience focused on building power, lighting, and systems.
• Experience selecting equipment and troubleshooting electrical systems.
• Knowledge of NFPA and NEC; proficient with MS Office tools.
• Experience reading 2D/3D drawings and using design software.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical project design and coordinate tasks to Drafter/Designers.
• Advise clients on electrical systems and code compliance.
• Perform field inspections to verify conditions and develop requirements.
• Coordinate with design team and manage project communications and schedules.
• Support construction team to implement the full design.
