EDI Staffing seeks a senior Electrical Engineer to lead a multidisciplinary design team in delivering power systems for healthcare, commercial and campus energy projects.

You will guide scopes of work, perform load calculations, review drawings for code compliance, and push sustainable energy integration. Licensure and 15+ years of experience are required for a high-impact, consulting-style role.

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in electrical engineering.
• 15+ years of experience in design of power systems for diverse sectors.
• Professional licensure is required.
• Consulting firm or A/E firm experience in electrical design.
• NFPA codes knowledge and applicable regulatory understanding.
• Proficient with Revit and electrical analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of electrical engineers, designers and BIM specialists.
• Write scopes of work for electrical design based on client meetings.
• Prepare workplans for design teams according to project scope.
• Assess project requirements, break into tasks, and align scope, budget and staffing.
• Prepare cost opinions for electrical systems and review estimates.
• Collaborate with owners to define project requirements and perform load calculations.
• Analyze power distribution, equipment sizing, and edit specifications.
• Prepare studies and schematic designs for new systems and assess existing operations.
• Present complex analyses clearly to owner and design teams.
• Ensure drawings comply with design standards and codes; maintain quality expectations.
• Work with performance teams to integrate alternative energy sources.
• Oversee and guide a team responsible for Revit production.
• Mentor design staff and serve as a resource for questions.
