Job summary

Senior Electrical Engineer at KBR in Houston, TX is responsible for leading the design and specification of electrical systems across energy sectors. The role requires coordinating with procurement, construction management, and clients to ensure successful delivery of major capital projects.

Travel to sites and supplier factories is expected. The ideal candidate has a 4-year electrical engineering degree, 5+ years of related experience in oil and gas or petrochemicals, and strong communication

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required.
Minimum 5 years of related oil/gas, refining, or petrochemical experience.
Willingness to travel domestically and possibly internationally.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Electrical equipment purchasing experience and MCC schematics experience.

Responsibilities

Design and specify electrical systems including power, lighting, MCCs and grounding.
Perform design calculations, studies, and develop specifications.
Provide technical guidance to designers and engineers.
Lead a functional area on a small project or segment of a larger project.
Plan, budget, organize, and control the project as lead.
