Job summary

Stratus® is a multidisciplinary engineering firm seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to provide senior technical leadership on major projects. You will lead design, analysis, and construction, guiding project teams and serving as the subject matter expert to meet client expectations and regulatory standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited university and 10–15 years of electrical engineering design plus project management experience.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) required.
• 10–15 years of electrical engineering design and project management experience.
• Strong leadership and mentorship skills for guiding junior engineers and teams.
• Ability to lead large-scale engineering projects and provide expert technical guidance.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of complex engineering projects with expert guidance to teams.
• Provide leadership and oversight for a multidisciplinary MEP engineers team.
• Prepare detailed drawings, calculations, and reports ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Serve as primary technical expert, resolving complex design challenges.
• Mentor junior engineers to maintain technical excellence across the team.
