Ramboll is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Solutions for Industry practice in Charlotte, NC, or in nearby NY locations. The role emphasizes leading electrical design across power distribution, grounding, lighting and fire alarm systems for industrial projects, while coordinating multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality design deliverables.
Ideal candidates have a PE license, a BSEE, and 8+ years of experience with leadership responsibilities in a consulting environment.
Qualifications
- BSEE and ongoing learning to stay current.
- 8+ years relevant work experience.
- PE license is required.
- 2+ years experience leading a design team in a consulting engineering environment.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical power distribution (medium/low voltage), grounding, lighting, fire alarm and communication systems for industrial projects.
- Lead a team of designers and engineers and coordinate deliverables.
- Mentor junior staff and grow technical skills.
- Act as client interface, lead proposals, fee estimates and presentations.
- Manage construction support including cost estimating, scheduling, site visits, punch lists, and shop drawing reviews.
- Prepare technical reports defining projects and directing client guidance.
