Job summary

Ramboll is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Solutions for Industry team in the United States. You will lead electrical design for industrial projects, mentor design professionals, and interface with clients on proposals and project execution in locations including Charlotte, NC, Binghamton, NY, or Syracuse, NY.

We require a BSEE with PE license, 8+ years of experience, and at least 2 years leading a design team within a consulting environment.

2+ years experience leading a team of design professionals in a consulting engineering environment.

Responsibilities

Design for electrical power distribution (medium/low voltage) systems, grounding systems, lighting systems, fire alarm systems, communication systems, etc. with a main focus on the industrial market segment.
Demonstrate a clear understanding of industry codes and standards, and develop code analysis reports. Preferred code knowledge includes NFPA, NESC, ANSI/IEEE Standards, energy code, and building code. Familiarity with utility standards preferred.
Serve as a technical lead electrical engineer and lead a team of electrical designers, electrical engineers, and coordinate the work into the final design deliverables.
Serve as a mentor, developing the technical skills of others.
Act as the client interface representing the electrical discipline and lead other disciplines during a design program. Act as the project manager on small to mid-scale electrical projects.
This includes the ability to interact with the client at the request for proposal stage, develop letter proposals and fee estimates, prepare and deliver presentations to the client, and act as the Ramboll representative throughout project duration.
Provide support for construction projects, including cost estimating, construction phasing/scheduling, site inspections, punch list development, and shop drawing review.
Prepare technical reports to define projects and provide clients with technical direction.
