Ramboll Group A/S is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design electrical power distribution systems in locations such as Binghamton NY, Syracuse NY, or Charlotte NC. You will lead a team and act as the technical interface with clients throughout projects.

Job description

Senior Electrical Engineer

Full-time; locations: Binghamton NY, Syracuse NY or Charlotte NC.

Key responsibilities:

• Design electrical power distribution (medium/low voltage) systems, grounding, lighting, fire alarm, communication systems with a focus on the industrial market segment.
• Demonstrate a clear understanding of industry codes and standards, and develop code analysis reports. Preferred knowledge: NFPA, NESC, ANSI/IEEE Standards, energy code, building code. Familiarity with utility standards preferred.
• Serve as a technical lead electrical engineer; lead a team of electrical designers and engineers, and coordinate work into final design deliverables.
• Serve as a mentor, developing the technical skills of others.
• Act as the client interface representing the electrical discipline and lead other disciplines during a design program; act as project manager on small to mid‑scale electrical projects.
• Interact with the client at the request‑for‑proposal stage, develop letter proposals and fee estimates, prepare and deliver presentations to the client, and represent the firm throughout project duration.
• Provide support for construction projects, including cost estimating, construction phasing/scheduling, site inspections, punch list development, and shop drawing review.
• Prepare technical reports to define projects and provide clients with technical direction.

About you

Qualifications:

• BSEE, with a commitment to lifelong learning to keep knowledge of contemporary issues current.
• 8+ years of relevant work experience.
• PE license required.
• 2+ years of experience leading a team of design professionals in a consulting engineering environment.

Compensation and benefits

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $110,000 to $140,000 per year. Actual compensation will vary based on location, skills, experience, education, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for bonus, overtime or other forms of compensation, and we offer a comprehensive benefits package that supports well‑being, professional development, and work‑life balance.
