Job summary

Remington & Vernick Engineers seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer with 8+ years of experience in electrical power, lighting and fire alarm/systems design for educational, commercial and industrial facilities. You will lead design efforts and collaborate with other disciplines to deliver complex projects.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and knowledge of building codes; a PE license is preferred. Base salary is competitive with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in electrical power, lighting and fire alarm/systems design for educational, commercial and industrial facilities.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering and design with codes for building, energy and construction standards.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary design projects and collaborating across teams.
• Strong communication skills for written specifications, reports and contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical design for large scale projects—industrial, institutional, office, retail, healthcare and more.
• Apply design knowledge in power distribution, grounding, lighting, control systems, and equipment specifications.
• Lead an electrical design group on large scale projects and direct designers.
• Interact with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure project success.
• Ensure work complies with company policy and OSHA safety rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
