You will oversee a team of engineers and drafters, guiding concept to commissioning, and ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across projects. The role drives MV distribution, motor controls, and SCADA-enabled load management, collaborating with mechanical, process, and OT teams to optimize plant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Electrical Engineers and Drafters, set priorities, assigning tasks, reviewing work, and conducting performance evaluations.
• Provide technical leadership across the full project lifecycle—from concept design, procurement, and construction to commissioning and operational support.
• Manage electrical system designs, including MV distribution, motor controls, lighting, grounding, and lightning protection systems.
• Ensure all engineering deliverables comply with NEC, NESC, IEEE, IEC, OSHA, UL, and internal standards.
• Oversee and approve detailed electrical drawings and documentation (schematics, one-line diagrams, panel layouts, conduit schedules).
• Review vendor submittals for conformance with design specs and regulatory standards.
• Support field engineering and commissioning, resolving technical issues during construction, testing, and startup.
• Drive power management and SCADA-integrated systems for site-wide load management and operational efficiency.
• Mentor junior engineers and drafters, providing coaching and career development support.
• Collaborate with mechanical, controls, process, and OT teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
• Lead or support engineering standards development, and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Champion electrical safety and risk mitigation across all project phases.
• Assist in resource planning, hiring, and retention strategies as the department grows.
