Job summary

You will work with controls, operations, and mechanical engineers to ensure safe and reliable infrastructure. The role requires a strong foundation in power distribution and industrial electrical standards, with the ability to take projects from concept through construction, commissioning, and operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in electrical design for industrial/chemical/manufacturing settings.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.
• Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, IEC, OSHA, NRTL, and UL standards.
• Experience with control panels, distribution panels, and motor control systems.
• Ability to read P&IDs and process flow diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and support of LV and MV systems from concept to commissioning.
• Prepare 2D schematics, load layouts, grounding, and wiring plans using AutoCAD.
• Review vendor submittals for safety and code compliance.
• Collaborate with process, mechanical, controls, and civil teams.
• Conduct load calculations, short-circuit studies, and arc-flash assessments.
• Provide field engineering support during construction and startup.
• Develop maintenance procedures for electrical infrastructure.
