Job summary

MP Materials in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer with a strong background in industrial automation to design, implement, and maintain control systems for high-availability production. You will lead SCADA/HMI configurations, data acquisition, and OT networks to enable Industry 4.0 initiatives.

The role requires hands-on experience with FactoryTalk View, WinCC, Rockwell/AB PLCs, PLC programming, cybersecurity awareness, and collaboration with IT and production teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer/Mechatronics or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Controls and OT in industrial environments.
• Hands-on experience with FactoryTalk View SE/ME, Siemens WinCC, and Rockwell/Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs.
• Proficient with Data Acquisition interfaces and visualization tools.
• Experience configuring Rockwell AssetCentre.
• Deep knowledge of industrial networking (vLANs, switches, firewall rules).
• Familiarity with OPC UA/DA, MQTT, and OT cybersecurity standards (ISA/IEC 62443, NIST).
• Strong project leadership and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and maintain SCADA/HMI systems (FactoryTalk View, WinCC).
• Deploy AVEVA PI for real-time data acquisition and analytics.
• Manage Rockwell AssetCentre for asset management and change tracking.
• Design industrial networks, VLANs, switches, and security configurations.
• Integrate control systems with OT/IT platforms and MES/ERP data flows.
• Provide PLC/HMI programming support, troubleshooting, and version control.
• Collaborate with IT, cybersecurity, production, and engineering teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in controls architecture.
