Job summary

CBES is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design, review, and coordination of electrical systems for new construction, remodels, and upgrades across commercial facilities.

You will drive power distribution, lighting, controls, EMS integrations, and life-safety systems, collaborating with internal teams, consultants, and vendors to ensure compliant, cost-effective solutions. Requires 10+ years and PE license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 10+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience in MEP/retail/design-build environments.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 70, building codes, and utility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review, design, and coordinate electrical systems for new construction, remodels, and capital projects.
• Develop electrical plans, load calculations, layouts, and specifications.
• Utilize AutoCAD and Revit to support design and drawing reviews.
• Coordinate with Architecture, Mechanical, Refrigeration, Controls, EMS, and Construction teams.
• Provide senior-level reviews and redlines for compliance and constructability.
• Mentor junior engineers and support engineering standards.
