Job summary

Qualifications

• 6+ years of electrical engineering experience focused on building systems.
• Active PE license with NCEES registration and licensure in at least one U.S. state.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for commercial and institutional building projects.
• Develop normal and emergency power distribution systems including generators, UPS, and ATS.
• Design lighting, lighting controls, and life-safety systems.
• Prepare construction documents, specifications, equipment selections, and electrical models.
• Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, mechanical, structural, and other disciplines.
• Lead and mentor electrical designers and junior engineers.
• Perform field investigations and site visits.
• Serve as Engineer of Record on assigned projects.
• Provide construction-phase support and assist with installation and testing.
• Ensure designs comply with NEC, NFPA 70, and applicable codes and standards.
• Incorporate energy-efficient and sustainable design practices including LEED and ENERGY STAR.
