Job summary

BKV Group is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to provide senior leadership in electrical design across multi-family, commercial, and civic projects, with duties spanning design, coordination, and mentorship. The role is based in Chicago, IL or Dallas, TX and requires strong architectural collaboration and QA/QC oversight.

You will lead design across power, lighting, life-safety systems, and ensure compliance with NEC, energy codes, and local regulations while guiding teams through

Qualifications

• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 10+ years in electrical building systems design.
• Proficient with Autodesk Revit for electrical design.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, ASHRAE/IECC, IBC, and local codes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and documentation across multiple project types.
• Coordinate with architecture, structural, mechanical, interior design, and PM teams.
• Mentor engineers, designers, and junior staff.
• Support QA/QC and client communications.
