Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the Building Engineering Services Group. You will lead electrical design teams, coordinate with multi-disciplinary staff, and guide projects from development through construction.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering, a PE license, and 10+ years of building electrical design experience (lighting/power/systems). Local candidates preferred. HDR offers an employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum 10 years of electrical design experience for buildings (lighting, power, systems).

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design teams for multiple concurrent projects.
• Coordinate work with a multi-disciplinary team throughout development and construction.
• Track project workload and ensure documents meet schedule and budget.
• Conduct schematic, design development and contract document sessions with clients.
• Maintain client relationships and participate in marketing, design and production meetings.
• Review with governing agencies for code compliance.
• Mentor junior staff and act as an effective communicator and self-starter.
