Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Westborough, MA is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design industrial control panels for automation robots used in fulfillment centers. You will work with mechanical and software engineers to specify PLCs, sensors, motor drives, and wiring harnesses in a lab environment and support production deployment.

You will build and test prototypes, create schematics and BOMs, and ensure approval‑ready documentation while applying NEC/UL standards and safety requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in electrical or computer engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years designing industrial control panels or electrical systems for automated equipment.
• Experience with ECAD tools (EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical).
• Experience designing wiring harnesses and specifying industrial connectors.
• Hands-on with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and function generators.
• Familiarity with NEC, UL 508A, NFPA79 standards for industrial control panels.

Responsibilities

• Design industrial control panels using EPLAN and specify components (PLCs, IPCs, motor drives, sensors, safety devices).
• Research and select sensors, actuators, motors, and components for integration into automation systems.
• Perform system‑level electrical design and integration with mechanical and software components.
• Create wiring harness designs and electrical documentation (schematics, BOMs).
• Build, assemble, and test prototype wiring harnesses and control panels; assist field deployment and troubleshooting.
