Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and build industrial control panels, select PLCs, sensors, and safety devices, and integrate components for production-scale robotics in our lab and at fulfillment centers. You will work with mechanical and software engineers, create wiring harnesses, test prototypes, and support field deployment across North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years designing industrial control panels or electrical systems for automated equipment.
• Experience with prototyping and implementation.
• Experience with ECAD tools (EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical).
• Experience designing wiring harnesses and specifying industrial connectors.
• Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and function generators.
• Familiarity with NEC and UL 508A standards for industrial control panels and NFPA79.
• Experience supporting equipment commissioning and troubleshooting in production or warehouse environments.

Responsibilities

• Design industrial control panels and select components to meet system requirements.
• Create wiring harness designs and BOMs; document specifications.
• Test prototype panels and validate electrical performance in lab settings.
• Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers to ensure system integration.
• Support field deployment and troubleshooting at fulfillment centers when needed.
