Job summary

ESI Inc. of Tennessee seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer, P.E., to join our team in Kennesaw, Georgia. A BS in Electrical Engineering, a P.E. license, and ten years of experience in electrical power systems design for industrial capital projects are required.

Responsibilities include lead engineering activities, electrical system modeling, drawings and specifications, switchgear and MCC selection, and subcontract coordination; travel to project sites is expected about 10% of the time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
• Ten years of experience in the design of electrical power systems for industrial projects.
• Experience with AutoCAD or Revit (latest version) required.
• Experience with power system modeling software (ETAP, SKM, Easypower) required.
• Experience with EPC firms in steam and power generation a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical engineering activities for industrial projects.
• Electrical system modeling.
• Preparation of electrical drawings, construction specifications, cable tray, conduit, and cabling designs.
• Specification of switchgear, MCC’s, transformers, motors, lighting panels, lighting, PLC’s, VFD’s, etc.
• Coordination of subcontract packages for electrical contractors.
• Maintain one-line diagrams, electrical equipment location drawings, plan drawings, details, schematics, wiring diagrams, etc.
• Travel to the project construction site as needed throughout the duration of the project (approximately 10% travel).
