Job summary

Phoenix Tailings, a rapidly growing clean metals startup in Exeter, NH, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to design, test, and deploy electrical power and instrumentation systems for new processing technologies.

You will lead hands-on builds, oversee lifecycle validation, and translate rough requirements into fully engineered solutions, accelerating infrastructure deployment for sustainable critical metals production.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of electrical engineering experience in industrial systems, power systems, or process equipment environments.
• Strong experience with electrical power systems, system sizing, and engineering calculations.
• Hands-on experience designing, building, and testing electrical equipment and control systems.
• Experience working with industrial instrumentation and measurement devices.
• Proficiency in electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system documentation.
• Ability to translate high-level technical needs into structured engineering designs and implementation plans.
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, testing, and lifecycle validation of electrical power components used in critical metals processing systems.
• Develop electrical architectures and calculations to demonstrate and validate new electrical apparatus and system solutions
• Design and implement instrumentation and electrical measurement systems to support process development and system validation
• Create strategic engineering plans to design, build, test, and prove new electrical systems and infrastructure
• Translate early-stage concepts and rough requirements into complete electrical engineering projects and system designs
• Lead hands-on electrical system builds, commissioning, and troubleshooting during equipment development and deployment
• Produce electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and documentation to support fabrication, installation, and operation
• Coach and support early-career engineers in electrical design, testing, and practical engineering execution
