Job summary

Phoenix Tailings in Exeter, NH is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design, testing, and deployment of electrical power and instrumentation systems powering our next-generation clean metals processing technologies.

This hands-on role requires turning rough requirements into engineered solutions with rigorous calculations and validation. The role offers a competitive total cash compensation of $120,000–$160,000 plus equity and benefits.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of electrical engineering experience in industrial systems, power systems, or process equipment environments.
• Strong experience with electrical power systems, system sizing, and engineering calculations.
• Hands-on experience designing, building, and testing electrical equipment and control systems.
• Experience with industrial instrumentation and measurement devices.
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, testing, and lifecycle validation of electrical power components used in critical metals processing systems.
• Develop electrical architectures and calculations to demonstrate and validate new electrical apparatus and system solutions.
• Design and implement instrumentation and electrical measurement systems to support process development and system validation.
• Create strategic engineering plans to design, build, test, and prove new electrical systems and infrastructure.
• Translate early-stage concepts and rough requirements into complete electrical engineering projects and system designs.
• Lead hands-on electrical system builds, commissioning, and troubleshooting during equipment development and deployment.
• Produce electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and documentation to support fabrication, installation, and operation.
• Coach and support early-career engineers in electrical design, testing, and practical engineering execution.
