Job summary

RoyOMartin is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for its Chopin, LA manufacturing facility. The role leads electrical power, controls, and automation initiatives, troubleshooting complex issues and driving reliability improvements.

You will design and commission electrical projects, manage budgets and schedules, and mentor electricians while ensuring NFPA 70E compliance and safety standards across operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in electrical, controls or automation in manufacturing.
• Experience with AC/DC power and low-voltage motor control.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, VFDs, HMIs and PLC networks.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70E arc flash concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and troubleshoot electrical power, controls and automation systems.
• Design, coordinate and commission electrical/control projects.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and contractors.
• Support and maintain PLCs, VFDs, HMIs and industrial networks.
• Mentor plant electricians and develop preventive maintenance programs.
