Job summary

AFRY USA is seeking a dynamic Senior Electrical Engineer to join the Electrical Discipline within our Process Industries Division. We are looking for an experienced professional to lead electrical design from concept through execution on industrial projects, and to provide technical leadership and mentorship.

You will collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams, ensure safety and quality, and travel to client sites as required to support project delivery and commissioning

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive electrical engineering experience in industrial/process environments.
• Strong knowledge of engineering design, project execution, and construction support activities.
• Experience developing project scopes, estimating engineering effort, and supporting budgets is preferred.
• Professional Engineer license, or ability to obtain licensure, is highly desirable.
• Thorough understanding of applicable standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients, contractors, vendors, and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Organize and prioritize workload to achieve project objectives efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.
• Support business development activities by assisting with proposals, scope development, and labor estimates.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineering team members as needed.
• Foster and maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Stay current with industry trends, codes, and best practices.
• Design and develop electrical systems, equipment, facilities, and components for industrial clients.
• Lead review of customer specifications to ensure safe, compliant, high-quality solutions.
• Collaborate with clients to clarify requirements and finalize specifications.
• Coordinate and prioritize electrical activities to meet schedules and deadlines.
• Travel to client sites for project support, field investigations, and commissioning.
