Job summary

Union Technologies is modernizing America’s defense manufacturing base with a factories-as-a-stockpile model. We seek a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical engineering, installation oversight, and commissioning of a new manufacturing facility with a hands-on field focus.

The role requires coordinating with contractors, equipment vendors, and internal teams to ensure safe, reliable operation and scalable manufacturing, with strong NEC/NFPA expertise and a track record of leading complex

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• 10+ years designing or reviewing industrial power distribution and controls.
• Experience leading major electrical/automation projects from design to startup.
• Ability to review single-line diagrams, panel layouts, and controls drawings.
• Experience supporting electrical inspections, permitting, and contractor oversight.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering activities during facility construction, installation, startup and commissioning.
• Oversee facility power distribution, transformers, switchgear, and equipment connections.
• Review diagrams and load calculations for accuracy and constructability.
• Ensure NEC/NFPA compliance and local code adherence.
• Coordinate with electricians, utilities, inspectors, and vendors to resolve field issues.
• Lead FAT/SAT, system validation, and turnover to operations.
• Coordinate arc flash studies, grounding verification, and electrical safety validation.
• Provide technical leadership to engineers, technicians, and production staff.
• Lead integration of robotic cells, PLCs, drives, sensors, and automation.
• Maintain as-built drawings and documentation; support future line expansion.
