Job summary

Union Technologies, headquartered in Dallas, TX, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead all electrical engineering activities for a new manufacturing facility. You will supervise installation, commissioning, and integration of electrical systems with robotics and PLC-controlled equipment.

You will coordinate with electricians, vendors, and internal teams to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with NEC/NFPA codes, as well as project milestones and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• 10+ years of electrical engineering experience in industrial manufacturing, automation, or facilities.
• Proven experience leading major electrical/automation projects from design to startup.
• Experience with electrical inspections, permitting, contractor oversight, and energization.
• Ability to review single-line diagrams, panel layouts, and control drawings.
• Strong knowledge of NEC/NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, and local codes.
• Experience with PLCs, safety systems, VFDs, and industrial robotics (FANUC preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering activities during facility construction, installation, startup, and commissioning.
• Oversee facility power distribution, transformers, switchgear, panelboards, MCCs, and equipment connections.
• Review drawings and load calculations for accuracy and constructability.
• Ensure compliance with NEC/NFPA and local codes; coordinate with inspectors.
• Coordinate with electricians, utilities, vendors, and internal teams to resolve field issues.
• Lead FAT/SAT, system validation, and turnover to operations.
• Provide technical leadership to engineers, maintenance techs, and contractors.
• Maintain as-built drawings and equipment documentation; manage preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot power and controls faults; support future line expansion.
