Job summary

Union Technologies in Dallas, TX is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical engineering, installation oversight, and commissioning for a safe, reliable manufacturing facility. You will coordinate with contractors and suppliers, ensure NEC/NFPA code compliance, and establish scalable systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required or closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering activities during facility construction, installation, startup and commissioning.
• Oversee facility power distribution including transformers, switchgear, MCCs, and equipment connections.
• Review drawings, single-line diagrams, load calculations, panel schedules, and equipment requirements for accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with NEC (NFPA 70), NFPA 70E, NFPA 79 and local codes.
• Coordinate with electricians, contractors, utilities, inspectors, equipment vendors and internal teams to resolve field issues.
• Lead electrical commissioning, FAT/SAT, system validation, and turnover to operations.
• Coordinate arc flash studies, grounding/bonding verification, electrical risk assessments, and machine safety validation.
• Provide technical leadership to engineers, maintenance staff, contractors, and production personnel.
• Lead electrical integration of robotic cells, PLC-controlled machinery, drives, motors, and sensors.
• Maintain as-built drawings, specs, documentation, and preventive maintenance requirements.
• Troubleshoot power/controls faults and support line expansion.
• Other duties as assigned.
