Job summary

Combustion & Controls, LLC is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design, development, integration, testing, and implementation of complex electrical control systems for industrial automation.

You will collaborate with customers, project managers, mechanical engineers, technicians, and panel shop personnel, ensure NEC/NFPA/UL compliance, and provide field support from startup through modification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience in industrial automation.
• Strong experience designing industrial electrical control systems.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 85, NFPA 86, UL standards and electrical safety.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel to customer sites occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design and engineering of industrial automation and control systems.
• Collaborate with customers, project managers, and other engineers to define requirements and deliver solutions.
• Develop documentation detailing operation, alarms, and system behavior.
• Review designs for reliability, manufacturability, and cost effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with NEC/NFPA/UL/OSHA and other standards.
• Provide engineering support for upgrades and field modifications.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet schedules and budgets.
• Assist with estimating engineering hours and material needs.
• Develop and execute testing procedures for electrical controls.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and automation issues.
• Support field personnel during installation, startup, and troubleshooting.
