CMTA, a Legence company, seeks a Sr. Electrical Engineer with 10+ years in consulting engineering to design electrical systems for energy efficient buildings and complex infrastructure. The role collaborates with engineers and design teams, offering leadership, client interfacing, and project execution across varied clients.

The position is based in Lafayette, CA with a hybrid schedule (3 days in-office, 2 days remote) and salary range of $135,000–$220,000 plus potential performance bonus.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering Infrastructure Design.
• PE License required.
• Project management experience.
• Interfacing with clients and stakeholders.
• Power distribution and lighting systems knowledge.
• AutoCAD and REVIT proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for energy efficient buildings and infrastructure projects.
• Develop power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, and emergency power designs.
• Prepare, read, and interpret drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Interact with owners, clients, architects, and contractors as needed.
• Evaluate engineering methods and meet project deadlines.
• Specify components to meet project goals and conduct feasibility analyses.
• Review contractor submittals for conformance with documents.
