Job summary

P2S|CMTA in Southern California seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead pre-design and design on large commercial, healthcare, higher education, ports, and infrastructure projects. Requires 10+ years of experience, a PE license, and proven leadership in electrical design, with AutoCAD/Revit and power-systems knowledge.

This hybrid role (3 days in office / 2 days remote) is based in Long Beach or Irvine, with a salary range of $150,000–$190,000 plus a performance bonus and strong mentoring

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience in electrical design and leadership
• PE license required
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
• Experience with ETAP/SKM for power studies preferred; ramp-up supported
• Familiarity with NEC Title 24 CALGreen and BIM coordination

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for large projects across commercial, healthcare, and education sectors
• Oversee pre-design and design phases, including field surveys and schematic designs
• Coordinate discipline interfaces (MEP, civil, architectural) and ensure code compliance
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to proposals and business development
• Maintain high standards of documentation and quality throughout project lifecycle
