Job summary

P2S|CMTA is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer focused on healthcare facilities in a hybrid role (3 days in-office, 2 days remote) in Long Beach or Irvine, CA. Lead projects from proposal through construction, applying advanced design principles, complex calculations, and budgeting while mentoring junior engineers.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in electrical design for healthcare or commercial buildings, strong NEC/CA code knowledge, and hands-on experience with AutoCAD, ETAP/SKM, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• LEED accreditation is a plus
• PE license is a plus
• 10+ years of electrical design experience in healthcare or commercial buildings
• Experience using NEC, AutoCAD, ETAP/SKM, and Revit
• Familiarity with: California Building Code and National Electrical Code
• HCAI/OSHPD standards
• Project management (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Review existing as-built drawings
• Perform field investigations
• Coordinate design schedules and deliverables
• Conduct feasibility studies
• Design power single line and riser diagrams
• Design low voltage and medium voltage infrastructure
• Design for electrical equipment replacement projects
• Understand and utilize CAD/BIM standards
• Have working knowledge of NEC and Energy Standards
• Coordinate among disciplines (MEP, civil, structural, architectural)
• Experience with low-voltage building systems is a plus
