Job summary

Jacobs seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to design electrical systems for commercial, education, healthcare, industrial, and transportation projects across Florida. You’ll lead load analyses, develop drawings, and coordinate with diverse teams to meet client requirements.

Applicants should have a Florida-licensed PE and demonstrated experience with NFPA standards, electrical equipment selection, and energy compliance. Hybrid work policy applies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering with strong design background.
• PE license in Florida or ability to obtain promptly.
• Experience designing electrical systems for vertical building projects in Florida.
• Solid knowledge of NFPA standards and related codes.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for building and infrastructure projects.
• Perform lighting design and controls calculations.
• Prepare electrical load analyses and construction drawings.
• Develop basis of design reports and energy compliance docs.
• Coordinate with architects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Engage with clients, owners, and contractors to define design needs.
