Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design electrical systems for buildings across Florida, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and delivering high-quality construction documents. You will engage directly with clients and stakeholders to meet project requirements.

The role requires a Florida PE license, a BS in Engineering, and extensive experience with NFPA and building codes. Hybrid work policy applies, with a base salary range noted below.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida.
• Demonstrated design experience with electrical systems for vertical building projects in Florida.
• Solid knowledge of NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, NFPA 72, NFPA 101, NFPA 110, building codes, energy codes, IEEE standards, ASHRAE standards.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for building and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare electrical load analyses across design stages.
• Develop construction drawings and technical documentation.
• Coordinate designs with architects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Engage with clients, owners, and contractors to establish design requirements.
• Support proposal, business development, and project delivery efforts.
