Job summary

Phoenix Tailings is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design, testing, and deployment of electrical power and instrumentation systems for sustainable metals processing.

The role requires hands-on builders who can translate rough requirements into fully engineered solutions and accelerate deployment of infrastructure. 7+ years in industrial electrical engineering is expected, with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in electrical engineering within industrial/power systems or process equipment environments.
• Hands-on design, building, testing of electrical equipment and control systems.
• Proficiency with electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system documentation.
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Ability to translate high-level needs into structured engineering designs and implementation plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, testing, and lifecycle validation of electrical power components used in processing systems.
• Develop electrical architectures and calculations to validate new electrical apparatus and system solutions.
• Design and implement instrumentation and electrical measurement systems to support process development.
• Create strategic engineering plans to design, build, test, and prove new electrical systems and infrastructure.
• Translate early-stage concepts into complete engineering projects and system designs.
• Lead hands-on electrical system builds, commissioning, and troubleshooting during development.
• Produce electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and documentation to support fabrication and operation.
• Coach and support early-career engineers in electrical design and testing.
