Dominion Energy Virginia’s Electric Transmission (ET) System Protection Engineering department is seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer to support the Company’s evolving distribution grid. The primary responsibilities include design and development of protective relay settings for Distribution and renewable energy interconnections.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of relevant engineering experience (Associate Engineer).
• 2+ years of relevant engineering experience (Engineer).
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience (Senior Engineer).
• 8+ years of relevant engineering experience (Staff Engineer).

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply protection philosophy and applications to real-world scenarios.
• Develop protective relay settings for SPE Distribution protection schemes inside the substation.
• Provide technical assistance to engineering and field teams to develop protection and control design packages.
• Provide technical support to conceptual engineering teams, project management, and ET Field Organization throughout capital projects.
• Participate in company teams and industry organizations to enhance ET's system protection performance.
• Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
