Hitachi Energy USA Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Grid & Power Quality Solutions team in North America.

You will lead multi-project electrical engineering activities from concept through commissioning, delivering innovative FACTS and power quality solutions for utilities. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience, strong NEC/ANSI/IEEE knowledge, and a BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering (BS, MS, or PhD).
7+ years of electrical engineering experience.
Strong knowledge of NEC and ANSI/IEEE standards.
Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate electrical engineering activities across multiple projects and project phases.
Develop innovative solutions to complex technical challenges while ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Design and execute projects in accordance with customer requirements and applicable standards (FACTS, NEC, ANSI, IEEE).
Prepare and review engineering documentation, including specifications, RFPs, manufacturing packages, and as-built drawings.
Support project planning through scope definition, cost estimating, scheduling, and risk management.
Collaborate with customers, suppliers, contractors, and cross-functional teams to drive project success.
Review supplier deliverables, evaluate vendors, and support procurement of electrical equipment and materials.
Provide technical support during testing, installation, commissioning, and startup activities.
