Job summary

Potter Global Technologies in Maple Grove, MN is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and test analog and digital hardware for life-safety products. You will collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, compliant hardware from concept to production.

The role demands a self-starter mindset, strong engineering judgment, and hands-on use of lab equipment to bring up prototypes and validate designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5–10 years of experience designing electronic hardware or embedded products.
• Strong ability to design, test, and troubleshoot analog and digital circuits and microcontroller interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and troubleshoot analog and digital circuits for fire-safety products.
• Create schematics, support PCB layout, and bring up prototypes with lab equipment.
• Develop, validate, and optimize microcontroller-based hardware and interfaces with firmware.
• Collaborate with firmware engineers to define hardware interfaces and diagnose system behavior.
• Perform hardware and system verification tests and document results.
• Support design reviews, requirements definition, and production transition.
