Job summary

Potter Global Technologies, based in Hazelwood, MO, seeks a Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead the engineering team in new product development, product sustainment, and strategic initiatives for the Fire Suppression business.

You will partner with Product Management, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer needs and business objectives, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; a Master's is a plus.
• 8+ years of progressive Mechanical Engineering experience, including leading NPD programs from concept to commercialization.
• 3+ years of engineering leadership or people management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of engineers, CAD resources, and technicians for NPD, product sustainment, and VA/VE initiatives.
• Translate business objectives into engineering priorities, goals, and resource plans with measurable outcomes.
• Drive NPD programs from concept through commercialization, managing technical deliverables, timelines, risks, and resources.
• Present NPD portfolio performance and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Oversee project planning, including scope, schedules, and dependencies.
• Collaborate with Product Management to convert customer requirements into technical plans.
• Support product development, commercialization, sustainment, and issue resolution with cross-functional teams.
• Lead engineering reviews and ensure drawings, models, and documents meet standards.
