Job summary

Potter Global Technologies seeks a Sales Engineer to drive growth by partnering with Regional Sales Managers, delivering technical guidance and hands-on support to advance opportunities. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor, help with architecture, deployment, and customer engagement, and contribute to long-term satisfaction.

You’ll lead demonstrations, address complex requirements, and collaborate across teams to ensure successful outcomes while traveling up to 50% in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• At least three years of experience in a related role.
• Proven experience in a technical sales role or engineering support.
• RCDD certification, preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Field expertise for site surveys and pre-build assessment.
• Proficiency with remote troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Partner with RSMs to create, advance, and win opportunities, coordinating engagement with territory strategy and objectives.
• Conduct customer presentations, product demonstrations, and webinars.
• Provide solution design and application guidance including system architecture discussions.
• Participate in discovery meetings, joint customer visits, and strategic account planning.
• Develop relationships across the sales ecosystem with integrators, distributors, and end users.
• Assist in the preparation of proposals and product specifications.
• Provide deployment guidance and mitigate technical risks for successful outcomes.
• Deliver enablement activities to position, deploy, and support Valcom solutions.
• Provide escalated technical assistance in strategic situations to ensure customer satisfaction.
