Senior Electrical Engineer - Experience with Federal Government Projects

Join us at Arcadis as a Senior Electrical Engineer with expertise in federal government projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on critical federal agency facilities, leading design and engineering efforts.

Position Details

• Location: USA Remote (domestic travel up to 35%)

Role Description

Support the Places Design & Engineering group by leading electrical design projects for federal agencies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and oversee multiple projects through all phases from pursuit to construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design teams and mentor junior staff to develop construction-ready design packages
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, building codes, and federal standards such as UFC and UFGS
• Develop budgets, proposals, schedules, and staffing plans; build relationships with federal agencies
• Utilize software like Revit, BIM, AutoCAD, and SpecsIntact
• Conduct site surveys and data collection for power systems and facility audits
• Design facilities including industrial, commercial, water, EV charging, data centers, etc.

Qualifications & Experience

• U.S. citizenship required
• Bachelor’s in electrical engineering with 10-15 years of consulting experience
• Proven experience producing IFC design packages for federal facilities
• PE license in the U.S.; multiple state licenses preferred
• Strong communication skills and relationship-building ability

Benefits & Compensation
