Role Description

We seek an experienced Electrical Engineer to support our Places Design & Engineering group, primarily focusing on federal agency facilities. You will lead electrical design projects through all phases, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities
  1. Lead design teams, mentor junior staff, and develop construction-ready design packages.
  2. Ensure compliance with industry standards, building codes, safety standards (NFPA, NEC, UFC, UFGS, etc.), and international standards.
  3. Develop budgets, proposals, schedules, and staffing plans; build relationships with federal agencies.
  4. Utilize design software such as Revit, BIM, AutoCAD, Elum Tools, SKM, Etap, EDSA, Easy Power, SpecsIntact.
  5. Travel to project sites for surveys, data collection, and client collaboration.
  6. Design facilities including industrial, commercial, water/wastewater, EV charging, transportation, and data centers.
Qualifications & Experience
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • BSc in electrical engineering with 10-15 years of consulting and facility design experience.
  • Proven experience with IFC design packages for federal facilities.
  • Professional Engineering licensure in the U.S.; multiple state licenses preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and relationship-building abilities.
