EV.Careers is partnering with a manufacturer of heavy-duty specialty vehicles to recruit a Senior Electrical Engineer. You will own electrical design from functional diagrams to harness development and prototype builds, touching every part of the vehicle.

You will lead on-site work, enforce electrical standards, and coordinate with suppliers for prototypes, while supporting custom orders and cross-functional vehicle integration across platforms.

Qualificações

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering is required; an Engineering Technology degree will not substitute.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Hands-on electrical design across functional diagrams, schematics, and harness design.
• Experience supporting a manufacturing environment and building prototypes.
• Comfortable working on a production floor with PPE and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally; able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Able to work on site full time in the Southern United States.

Responsabilidades

• Develop the electrical and controls systems for a full line of heavy-duty vehicles and trailers.
• Take designs the whole way: functional diagram, schematic, harness design, release, and prototype build.
• Solve problems that only show up on the build floor and apply learnings to design.
• Own electrical standards, best practices, and processes and improve them as the product line evolves.
• Build scope of work, schedules, and task lists for electrical and controls development projects.
• Coordinate with external design resources and suppliers for prototypes and production builds.
• Collaborate with the prototype department on tooling and inventory for harness assembly.
• Handle engineering work for custom customer orders.
• Work cross-functionally across the whole vehicle rather than single subsystems.
