Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Rochester, NY seeks a Senior Specialist in Electrical Engineering to design, develop and test embedded controls for Airborne Imaging systems. You’ll work with hardware-software interfaces, perform system-level analysis, and contribute to production test equipment development.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree with extensive experience or a higher degree with fewer years, plus strong electronics, FPGA/DSP, and high-speed networking know-how.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 8+ years of related experience, or graduate degree with 6+ years.
• In lieu of a degree, 14+ years of related experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate & test embedded controls for airborne imaging systems.
• Develop interfaces between hardware and software and verify performance.
• Allocate system requirements to electronic specs and create block diagrams.
• Develop custom production test equipment hardware and software.
• Review vendor capabilities and manage components, connectors and power.
• Prototype wire harnesses and circuit boards with procurement.
• Perform unit testing and support production and field issues.
• Ensure conformance to internal processes and security requirements.
