Job summary

Amazon seeks an Sr. Electrical Engineer to own design, development, and verification of the Prime Air Drone Perception subsystem and ground loading infrastructure in Seattle, WA.

You will lead power and signal architecture for radar/cameras, drive PCB design, and coordinate with a team of engineers to deliver reliable, scalable hardware. You must have 7+ years in engineering, FPGA/ASIC experience, DSP background, and strong scripting and version control skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of engineering experience.
• Experience with hardware troubleshooting and mentoring.
• Proven FPGA product cycle experience from concept to production.
• Strong DSP background and hardware DSP implementations.
• Experience with high-speed interfaces (PCIe, Ethernet, SERDES).
• Experience with ASIC/FPGA design and verification tools.
• Experience scripting (Python, Perl, Linux Bash).
• Experience with version control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in fast-paced environments and regulated industries

Responsibilities

• Own camera and radar signal and power architecture for Prime Air hardware and loading systems.
• Lead architecture, design, and development of high-speed mixed-signal boards.
• Define board-level architectures and select components per requirements.
• Create detailed schematics and guide PCB layout for SI/PI and manufacturability.
• Perform board bring-up, debugging, validation, and root cause analysis.
• Drive technical decisions and act as hardware design authority.
• Review designs and provide mentorship to engineers.
• Ensure performance, quality, schedule, and cost objectives.
