Job summary

RTX seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer in Richardson, TX to design and integrate analog and digital electronics, including PCB design and system-level requirements. You will work across mechanical and software teams, ensuring MIL-STD-461 compliance and robust test procedures for military applications.

The role emphasizes developing hardware from concept to manufacturing, collaborating on embedded processor systems and user interfaces, with a strong focus on quality, schedule adherence, and cost

Qualifications

• U.S. government security clearance required; U.S. citizenship required.
• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with minimum 3 years of experience.
• Active DoD security clearance preferred.
• Experience in digital and analog products including microprocessor systems, low-power supplies, and communication subsystems.
• Experience with mixed signal design including SoC/FPGAs and A/D/D/A converters.
• Experience with EMI/EMC standards for military applications.

Responsibilities

• Research, develop, design, fabricate, modify, and evaluate electronic apparatus and circuitry.
• Prepare sketches or specifications to construct, relocate, or install equipment and systems.
• Prepare documentation describing hardware/software for product development and costs.
• Perform engineering work and R&D to meet quality standards and business objectives.
• Produce products according to specifications using cost-effective methods.
