Job Overview

Senior Electrical Engineer with analog and digital design experience, located in Richardson, TX. The role includes PCB design, system design and integration, requirements capture, and transition to manufacturing for products such as chassis adapters supporting Ethernet, video, discrete I/O, embedded processor systems, and user interfaces. Products typically comply with MIL standards including MIL-STD-461.

Responsibilities
  • Research, develop, design, fabricate, modify, and evaluate electronic apparatus, components, or circuitry for use in electronic equipment and devices, ensuring projects are completed on time and within quality and budget constraints.
  • Prepare engineering sketches or specifications for constructing, relocating, or installing equipment, products, or systems.
  • Prepare documentation including descriptions or specifications of proprietary hardware or software, product development schedules, product costs, and performance analyses to track progress and analyze performance.
  • Perform engineering work and applied research, development, and design of new products to ensure quality standards and business objectives are met.
  • Produce products according to specifications, using the most cost-effective and efficient means.
  • Analyze and evaluate new or improved electronic components (PM&P) including power generation, transmission and distribution, rotating machinery, illumination, wire communication systems, servomechanisms, circuit theory, computer design and development, instrumentation, radio communications, semiconductor devices, solid state devices, and television systems.
Qualifications Required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active DoD security clearance.
  • Experience designing digital and analog products including microprocessor systems, low‑power supplies, and communication subsystems.
  • Experience with mixed‑signal design including SoC/FPGAs, A/D converters, digital down converters, D/A converters, digital waveform generators, mixed‑signal CCAs, and mixed‑signal modules and subsystems.
  • Experience developing test procedures, test fixtures, and EMI/EMC standards for military applications.
  • Experience with ALM tools including JIRA, Confluence, DOORS, MATLAB, LT‑Spice, and DX.
  • Experience interfacing to RF circuitry and high‑speed A/D D/A conversion.
