Job summary

The Tepa Companies are seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead and oversee electrical design for facilities on Tinker AFB, including power, lighting, grounding, and protection systems. The role requires ABET-accredited degree, 10+ years of experience, and a PE license.

Onsite work at Tinker AFB, with responsibilities spanning design reviews, cost estimates, and coordination with other disciplines. Background check required; DoD knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 10+ years of experience in general electrical design of buildings/infrastructure.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• Willing to submit to a background check.
• Knowledge of DoD facilities design is desirable.
• Knowledge of Building Code, NFPA Life Safety Code, ASCE 7, ACI and UCS standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical technical and engineering support in the design of building systems (Power, Lighting, Grounding, Lightning protection).
• Perform engineering evaluations and recommendations for improvements.
• Develop cost estimates for electrical projects and create scope definitions.
• Design electrical systems based on DoD and Tinker AFB specifications.
• Review Submittals, RFIs, and internal design drawings for quality and compliance.
• Participate in final on-site inspections and project closeouts.
• Provide cross-disciplinary support as needed.
• Support the Damage Assessment Team (DAT) program.
