Job summary

Department of the Navy is seeking an Electrical Engineer to execute in-house design work for shore facilities, manage multi-disciplinary teams, and coordinate with A/E partners to ensure cohesive DoD-compliant building designs.

The role requires active PE registration and documented experience in facilities electrical design, with site investigations and technical guidance to contractors. Position is based in Fort Worth, TX under DoD programs.

Qualifications

• Selective Placement Factor (SPF): current PE registration from any state, DC, Guam or Puerto Rico.
• At least one year of specialized experience as a professional ELECTRICAL ENGINEER at or equivalent to GS-12/pay band level, or equivalent in private/public sector.
• Experience leading production of facilities electrical design packages (drawings, plans, specs, design-build RFPs).

Responsibilities

• Execute in-house electrical engineering design work products within milestones and quality standards.
• Lead multi-disciplinary in-house design teams and oversee A/E efforts.
• Coordinate electrical design with other disciplines for DBB and DB projects for site/building compatibility.
• Conduct site investigation field trips to refine project scope through data collection and meetings.
• Provide technical guidance to A/E firms on DoD criteria and requirements.
