Job summary

PD Power Systems LLC is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer/Designer to design electrical and control systems for power generation and distribution. You will work with Mechanical Designers to integrate controls, using 2D/3D CAD and PLCs to meet customer specs.

Excellent communicator with the ability to travel up to 20% domestically/internationally. Onsite roles in Springfield, VA; Tampa, FL; and Seven Valleys, PA. Security clearance eligibility required.

Qualifications

• Education: 4-year Electrical Engineering degree with 10+ years of hands-on experience.
• Education: 2-year technical college degree/military experience with 15+ years of electrical and controls design/drawing experience.
• Experience designing electrical control systems and power generation and distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, edit and maintain electrical schematics, panel diagrams, cable assemblies, and wiring drawings using AutoCAD software.
• Create, maintain and troubleshoot PLC systems.
• Be able to source components based upon customer requirements and specifications.
• Confer with engineering team and suppliers/vendors to develop the product.
