Job summary

InPwr, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer III to lead electrical design for mid- to large-scale projects in Charlotte, NC.

The role includes QA/QC oversight, collaboration with project managers on design strategy, and interaction with clients and vendors to deliver permit-ready packages. Requirements include a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years of experience in power distribution and lighting design, and knowledge of NEC/IEEE standards; PE license is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
PE license preferred.
5+ years experience in electrical power distribution and lighting system design.
Knowledge of NEC and IEEE standards.
Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Design to NEC and applicable codes including lighting and power layouts, one-line diagrams, and panel schedules.
Perform sizing calculations for wiring/cables and equipment to support design.
Coordinate and lead the project electrical design team.
Interact with clients, vendors, contractors, architects, and other trades to prepare deliverables for permit and construction.
Manage design information and coordinate with project manager to obtain sources and document information.
Review CAD designs for compliance with codes, scope, specifications and standards.
