Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer for our United States office. The candidate will lead electrical design across complex building and industrial systems, coordinating with architecture, mechanical, structural, civil, and technology teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.

The role requires licensing in NM or AZ, extensive power distribution experience, and strong proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (Electrical) in NM or AZ.
• Electronic power distribution design experience for commercial/industrial projects.
• Experience with NFPA 70/70E/72 and related codes.
• Proficient with Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead and design manager on multiple projects.
• Establish schedules and monitor design timelines.
• Coordinate cross-discipline activities with architecture, mechanical, structural, civil, and technology teams.
• Prepare site analyses evaluating feasibility, utilities, and constraints.
• Produce electrical layouts, lighting plans, drawings, and construction specs.
• Provide construction administration including RFIs and submittal reviews.
• Interface with AHJ for permitting and code interpretation.
• Model electrical systems using SKM/ETAP/EZ-Power.
